Sooooo you want to know who is actually behind DannozStudios? Well, buckle up, because the honest answer is: a NERD with ADHD who could not resist turning a hobby into a whole business.
I wanted to hold my favourite characters in my hands at a scale that actually does them justice — and figured other nerds out there wanted the exact same thing.
I run this place from my home in Queensland, Australia, one print at a time, and that’s the whole reason it exists.
The important stuff first
Before we get into any of that: I am a Christian, a husband (to the best wife ever — definitely not biased…) and a father of 3 amazing boys who are, very happily, all turning into nerds themselves.
Gamer since before it was cool
Since I was 6 years old, if there was a screen and a controller nearby, I was on it — SNES, Frogger, the original King’s Quest on one of the earliest Mac PCs, all of it. Star Wars has been right there with me the whole way too; I still watch the only Star Wars movies that count, every year — prequels and originals…
Then my son handed me anime
More recently my eldest son introduced me to anime, starting with Attack on Titan, and it completely changed how I saw the genre. Since then I have fallen hard for Demon Slayer, JJK and a growing list of shows I am still catching up on.
Still just a gamer, honestly
At my core I am still just a gamer, so much so that I stream 1–2 days a week — usually Space Marine 2, sometimes whatever random new game has caught my attention. Come say hi sometime; I would love to talk about your favourite characters and universes, or hear what I should watch or play next.
And that, really, is how DannozStudios came to be — one nerd who wanted to see his favourite characters brought to life at real scale, so he built a way to do it for everyone else too.
