Bearing badge #99 on his chest, this is Killua Zoldyck caught in one of his rare unguarded moments: skateboard resting against a stump, mushrooms dotting the ground, not a care in the world.
But fans don’t love Killua for his kill count — they love him for what he chose over it. Bred from birth by the world’s most feared assassin family, tortured into a weapon before he ever got a say, Killua walked away from all of it the moment a boy named Gon treated him like a friend instead of a threat. That same coiled, effortless speed you see in this playful pose is the exact foundation of Godspeed — the technique he later built not to kill, but to protect the people he loves. — THE CRAFT & THE FINISH —
At 1:4 scale, resin printing isn’t practical — so Killua is printed on FDM and then meticulously hand-finished: sanding, filling and smoothing, using techniques I’ve refined to get as close to a resin-quality surface as possible at this size. Between the figure, the yo-yo, the skateboard, the card bundle and the textured mushroom-and-rock base, there are a lot of small parts here — that’s genuinely hard to do well, and it’s where my time and skill go.
You choose the filament, and this one suits a few directions: matte Grey for a neutral, easy-prime starting point that takes paint beautifully; matte White, which sits especially well with Killua’s pale skin and white hair and primes bright for vivid colour; or matte Black, for a darker, ready-to-display base tone straight out of the box. Whichever you pick, it reads clean before you’ve even lifted a brush.
A NOTE ON THE FINISHED LOOK: the painted render is myAnimate’s concept — the white spiky hair, blue eyes, the white-and-blue outfit, the chrome yo-yo, the yellow-and-red skateboard, the red-spotted mushrooms, all of it is PAINT. Your kit ships raw in a single PLA colour, so that fully-realised look is yours to create. That’s the fun of it.
Being upfront: this is a handmade, hand-finished print, not a factory-moulded product. It won’t be flawless — you may spot faint layer texture in places or a small imperfection here or there. That’s the honest nature of a large-format print finished by hand, and it’s part of what makes it a piece YOU complete and make your own. What you’re assured of is care, dedication, and a quality you won’t find from most others working at this scale.
⚠️ CARE — INDOOR DISPLAY PIECE
This is a PLA print, made for indoor display. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, heat and hot cars — PLA can soften or warp with extended sun and high temperatures over time. Treat it as the indoor centrepiece it’s built to be and it’ll hold beautifully for years.
— BUILDING YOUR KILLUA —
This is a hands-on kit for makers. Prime, paint and assemble Killua into a finished centrepiece that’s truly your own — from the spiky white hair and blue eyes to the yo-yo, the skateboard graphic and every mushroom cap on the base. A little light sanding and gap-filling helps the parts seat snugly; glue them together after priming/painting and once fully dry (super glue / CA glue works well). Always prime before painting for the best result.
