## Who is Chandra Nalaar?

Chandra Nalaar was one of the first five planeswalkers ever printed — Magic’s original Lorwyn Five, back in 2007 — and nearly two decades later she remains one of the game’s most recognisable faces of red mana, a founding member of the Gatewatch. Chandra solves problems the same way every time: with fire. This figurine catches her fully unleashed — flame conjured in both raised hands, her own hair gone up in fire, goggles pushed back off her forehead, standing amid rising flames on a scorched rocky plinth.

## A note on the fire effects

Our reference photos are of a resin-cast piece — resin can be cast translucent, which is how that glassy, internal fire glow is achieved. This kit prints in solid FDM PLA, an opaque material that can’t reproduce that see-through quality. The fire — her hair, the flames in her hands, the base — prints as solid grey shapes, and turning them into convincing fire takes genuine flame-painting skill: layering yellow through orange into red, highlighting the edges, blending it smoothly. Even a great paint job will look different to the resin reference. That’s the technical challenge (and the reward) of this piece — go in expecting your own interpretation, not an identical copy.

Orphaned by a regime that outlawed her fire magic, moments from her own execution when her planeswalker spark ignited, she rebuilt herself from nothing and never once let it cool her down. ## Care — Indoor Display Piece

This is a PLA print, made for indoor display. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, heat and hot cars — PLA can soften or warp with extended sun and high temperatures over time. Treat it as the indoor centrepiece it’s built to be and it’ll hold beautifully for years.

## What’s included / Build & finish notes

This is a handmade, hand-finished print, not a factory-moulded product — it won’t be flawless, and faint layer texture or a small imperfection may remain here or there. That’s the honest nature of a large-format print finished by hand, and part of what makes it a piece you complete yourself. Prime, paint and assemble; light sanding/gap-filling helps parts seat snugly, and super/CA glue after priming and painting works well. Always prime before painting.
